Fredrik Fahlander (PhD) is associate professor in archaeology at Stockholm University. I received my doctoral degree in 2003 at the Department of Archaeology, University of Gothenburg where I worked as lecturer and researcher. In 2009 I began a postdoctoral research fellowship at Stockholm University and since 2013 I occupy a permanent position as lecturer and researcher. I am also one of two editors of the peer-reviewed journal Current Swedish Archaeology.
I have participated in a series of archaeological projects in Greece and Sweden in which I have been working with issues such as survey methodology, burial archaeology and the social structuration of space. Current research topics are relational ontologies, new materialism and posthumanism in general, and burial archaeology and rock-art in particular. Other interests include the fine art of on-line assault in Unreal Tournament -99 and UT4.
